Southern Steel take down the Magic - An amazing effort from the Southern Steel last night saw them overcome the onslaught from the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic in the ANZ netball league. Some of the young starts in the team had to stand up, and they did. Great shooting from TP and Olivia in the final 1/4 sealed the game. Roslyn Physio was present on the sidelines - but this time in the corporate dining area enjoying some drinks and nibbles throughout the game. Thanks to the Southern Steel for the hospitality.

With the netball season about to underway, Roslyn Physio would like to remind all Dunedin Netball premier players that they can come and see us for injury treatment without paying a ACC co-payment. Roslyn Physio has a dedicated team of physiotherapists with vast experience when it comes to netball injuries.

Director Brett Woodley is the current Southern Steel Beko Netball league physiotherapist and was Silver Ferns Physiotherapist in 2016-17. He is also the High Performance New Zealand provider to netball in Dunedin.

Roslyn physio is also able to provide taping supplies at competitive rates to ensure you are able to help prevent injury.

Chronic Heel Pain

Heel pain, or as it is officially known chronic plantar heel pain (CPHP) is usually a change in the nature of the tissue within the sole of your foot, attaching to your heel bone called the plantar fascia. This structure acts as a strong guide wire between the heel and the big toe as you move through your foot during walking and running.

On the evening of the 8th of May, Sport Otago ran a strapping Clinic in conjunction with Roslyn Physio. Steve Griffin from Roslyn Physio presented various strapping techniques to athletes, coaches and support staff from a range of sporting codes.

Make sure you come along to the John McGlashan College Centenary in February 2018. For a full programme please visit the McGlashan100 website. There are many great events being held over the three days and there will be a load of stories shared between current and past students of the College.

Roslyn Physio has been a proud supporter of John McGlashan College over the past 20 years. We offer a physiotherapy service to the boarding hostel students and ensure that the best outcome is achieved for those students who have sustained injuries. Roslyn Physio also gifts a scholarship every year to a student entering into Health Sciences to the value of $500.

We wish John McGlashan College every success over the Centenary.

South Win the Beko National League!

51-46 Win to South in Beko League Final.

The South Netball Beko League team have taken out the final of this years Beko competition by beating a strong Central team in the final last weekend in Auckland. The final was a closely fought match but the South team had what it took to hold on for the inaugrual win.
Up the Coppers!!

Roslyn Physio wishes to congratulate the team and management on their efforts this season. Roslyn Physio director Brett Woodley was involved with this team as physiotherapist and was impressed by the results over the season given the rushed implementation of the competition.
" The competition is a great platform for players to experience high performance training and support. It has provided the stepping stone between club netball and the ANZ franchise competition. Next year will see this competition grow even more, and it will hopefully sit alongside the new Elite Domestic League competition". Brett now moves on to the Silver Ferns campaign where he will be involved with them for the first time.
