Amy Hooson

Amy Hooson Amy has worked in musculoskeletal physiotherapy in both NZ and the UK since graduating from Otago with Physical Education and Physiotherapy degrees in 2005. A qualified Pilates instructor, Amy uses a combination of manual therapy and exercise based rehabilitation to help patients meet their goals.  With experience working in gyms and physio clinics in both the private and public sector, and previously instructing “Active Mums” groups, Amy enjoys working with a wide variety of patients, both athletic and non-athletic, young and old.

Amy was a NZ rep artistic gymnast in her youth, was a senior coach at Dunedin Gymnastic Academy for many years, and has coached various Otago teams in the past, however these days involvement is limited to judging and attending play-gym sessions with her pre-school aged children.

Amy keeps fit running after her two young boys, but also enjoys swimming and gym exercise, and having fun family adventures in the outdoors.
