51-46 Win to South in Beko League Final.

The South Netball Beko League team have taken out the final of this years Beko competition by beating a strong Central team in the final last weekend in Auckland. The final was a closely fought match but the South team had what it took to hold on for the inaugrual win.
Up the Coppers!!

Roslyn Physio wishes to congratulate the team and management on their efforts this season. Roslyn Physio director Brett Woodley was involved with this team as physiotherapist and was impressed by the results over the season given the rushed implementation of the competition.
" The competition is a great platform for players to experience high performance training and support. It has provided the stepping stone between club netball and the ANZ franchise competition. Next year will see this competition grow even more, and it will hopefully sit alongside the new Elite Domestic League competition". Brett now moves on to the Silver Ferns campaign where he will be involved with them for the first time.

Dry Needling @ Roslyn Physio - 19th Jan 2016

Dry needling @ Roslyn Physio

Brett has recently attended 2 advanced courses in Sydney to further his knowledge around Dry Needling. He spent a week in Sydney learning to apply dry needling to muscle groups which are harder to access and require dry needling experience.

Brett has been using Dry needling within the clinic for 7 years now and Natalie is also trained in the technique. Although it is an invasive technique it is very helpful in reducing pain in a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.

For further information about Dry Needling and whether it is for you visit our Dry Needling Page. Come and experience it, you may find that it is just what you need to relieve that ongoing muscular pain.

Roslyn Physio in the classroom - 18th Nov 2015

Roslyn Physio at Grants Braes School

Brett Woodley recently educated the junior pupils at Grants Braes School about the body. He talked about the importance of exercise and good posture and he took along 'Sam' our skeleton and educated the pupils about some simple anatomy. He also talked to them about the importance of physiotherapy and they way to treat injuries.

There were many interesting questions and he even managed to place one of the teachers in a moon-boot, a collar, a compressive bandage, an ice pack and a sling all at once!
